Not saying its all their fault of course, and the offense has underachieved, but the energy and shut down mentality we have had the last couple years is not there... Listen, when a team like that badgers tries to run it down your throat for the first full half and dont pass THAT successfully, sooner or later teams will be able to stop that. We had the luxury last year of a defense that would get turnovers, get the offense some great field position and help aid in us getting points on the board and keeping other teams off the board.

Our offense is the same as it was last year guys... we will flash big runs here and there like we have since the beginning of time... Hornibrook is OK at best... we have some pretty good receivers... but we literally have basically the same exact group as we had last year. Its not like they got worse
Without guys on D that can make big plays, create turnovers and get stops while preserving field position, our Offense doesnt really have the opportunity that it had last season.

I admit, I was wrong. I thought with leonard at the helm on D and some speed in the defensive backfield we would be fine.. And actually, we havent given up that much deep through the air yet.. but we dont have the guys getting to the QB, we dont have guys causing fumbles, and we lost some athleticism that we had in years past...
We had fricking Leon Jacobs for crying out loud. This guy was the freakiest athlete we may have ever had! And he wasnt even the guy you heard about the most... now hes playing in the NFL...
We just dont have the athletes on the Line and at linebacker that we had in the past...

Look at the OSU game last year.. Offense couldnt do crap and we were still in the game.
getting points off turnovers and making it hard for OSU to move the ball (minus a few big plays)

Teams that can bottle up our offense a bit are going to be extremely hard for us to beat... thats Iowa, NW, Michigan, Penn State. Penn State, because of their passing ability, will be damn hard to beat just because it will turn into a shoot out.....

Im concerned to say the least.. we will have games that we put up a lot of points because we have some talent.. but there will be games that arent as smooth against stout defenses.. Our defenese needs to create offense and get us good field position and Im not sure they can
