From UW Athletic Communications:

IN A CLASS BY HIMSELF

• No one has ever rushed for more yards over a three-year span than Taylor (5,932)

• Taylor joins Herschel Walker as the only players in FBS history to run for at least 1,700 yards in three consecutive seasons (and needs just 39 yards to become the first to reach 1,800 in three straight seasons)

• Taylor needs just 68 yards over his final two games to become just the seventh player in FBS history (and first junior) to run for 6,000 career yards

• Taylor has yet to finish his junior season and is only 473 yards shy of the officially recognized FBS career rushing record

• With 5,932 career rushing yards, Taylor already ranks second all-time in Big Ten history

• Taylor’s career average of 152.1 rushing yards per game is fifth-best in FBS history

• Taylor has rushed for at least 200 yards 12 times in his career, matching Ricky Williams for second-most in FBS history (Ron Dayne has 14)

THE CASE FOR THIS SEASON

• Taylor leads the country with 25 touchdowns scored

• Taylor ranks second in the country in both rushing (146.8 ypg) and yards from scrimmage (163.5 ypg) despite playing half his games against teams that rank among the top 30 in rushing defense (the FBS’ leading rusher, Oklahoma State’s Chuba Hubbard, has not faced a top-30 rushing defense this season)

• Taylor has averaged 127.2 rushing yards in those six games, including 200-yard efforts against Michigan and Iowa, and scored 11 TDs.

• Taylor leads the country with 55 rushes of 10+ yards

• Taylor’s 6.31 yards per carry is second-best among Power Five RBs with at least 200 carries (He is averaging 7.22 yards per carry on 1st down)

• Taylor has led Wisconsin to a 10-2 record, the Big Ten West Division championship and a No. 8 ranking in the latest College Football Playoff poll

• The 2018 Doak Walker Award winner, Taylor has already been named a finalist for the Doak and is the Ameche-Dayne Big Ten Running Back of the Year

BRINGING RUNNING BACK

Jonathan Taylor has had one of the best careers of any running back in history. He has established himself with the likes of Heisman Trophy winners Tony Dorsett, Herschel Walker, Ricky Williams and Ron Dayne. For more information, please visit UWBadgers.com/JT23
