Few thoughts:
1) I liked that Gard took Happ out up 1, with 47 second left, our ball with a new shot clock. Gotta figure they foul him the second he touches the ball.
2) As soon as Bronson turned the ball over in that possession, all I could think about was the Notre Dame ending. Eerily similar. These guys have to use timeouts when in trouble like that.
3) I cannot believe Divincenzo missed that second FT. Nova likely wins if he hits it. And that kid was in a zone all day.
4) If this were a Bo Ryan team, there is no chance Nigel gets the ball on the wing, going to the rim with 15 seconds left. BK would've bled the clock all the way down, and thrown up a contested three.
Stategically, its riskier to shoot so early in the shot clock, but it obviously worked. i supposed the D isn't expecting it, so helps get a better look. Not what I would've done, but Gard knows. That play was drawn up.
