I went to the Kimberly vs Oshkosh West game and wanted to give a report-
First off Kimberly won the game 42-14. It was only a 14-7 lead for the 'Makers at the half but they pulled away in the 2nd half.
Boyd Dietzen-had a handful of tackles and several QB pressures, including one pressure that lead to the OW QB throwing before he wanted to and a Kimberly Int. Boyd was of course double teamed most plays but as Jon stated in the first game vs FDL he kept grinding, kept working. Boyd has a work ethic that doesn't allow him to quit on a play.
A couple interesting things-Papermaker stadium has artificial turf (like Appleton North from my report last season) and they have a new scoreboard this season that is one of the nicer scoreboards I've seen for HS FB. It is I believe an LED lit scoreboard that showed replays which I can't say I've seen for HS FB before.
At halftime they had all the kids from their feeder program (the Bulldog program they call it) and including the 6th, 7th and 8th grade kids in this program there was over 200 kids. Each grade had 5-6 coaches working with the kids.
They played music during the game just like CR does and even played Jump Around at the end of the 3rd Qtr.
An overall impressive HS FB game in many ways, there's a reason they are as successful as they've been.
