We have a lot of wins so far, but no big time wins. The 3 toughest games we have played in we have lost. Beating Indiana on the road was a pretty big win, however with injuries Indiana is now slipping a little bit.... BTN says likely the ceiling for a big ten team is a #3 seed, right now they have Wisconsin as a #4.... In my opinion we NEED to beat maryland to have a chance at a high seed... however, if we do run the table the rest of the regular season and do get a high seed, we have a chance to make a run.
One thing im disappointing in is our inconsistency. I know we obviously had rough times last year, a horrible start to the year, but by tournament time we were damn near impossible to beat..... Vitto was nailing open 3's like they were free throws, Bronson was being very aggressive....
These are all things that can improve by years end, however I wish we would have carried more of that consistency over from the end of last season. In our 3 losses it basically wasnt even close..
So as of now, I would say we need to find a way to not shoot such horrible percentages.... rely on Happ more, if thats possible, get Nigel to be as aggressive as Happ is on the inside, and Bronson and Vitto need to get hot from 3...
