Wisconsin quarterback commit Kare' Lyles from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro struggled in a 41-21 loss to Peoria Centennial in the area's biggest game of the weekend Thursday night, never finding his rhythm and losing a fumble in a pivotal moment.

Saguaro jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter thanks to a 45-yard touchdown from Lyles to Rivals100 prospect Byron Murphy, but misfired too many times after that. Lyles looked a bit flustered having to deal with pressure in the pocket and he was picked off on a short dump off that quickly changed the momentum of the game. Lyles had a tough time distinguishing coverage and didn't make enough plays with his legs, which is something he's shown the capability to do. It wasn't his best showing but, to his credit, he stood in front of his teammates after the game and told them he still believes they can accomplish great things this season.

On the recruiting front, Lyles said he's selling Wisconsin to anyone that will listen, including fellow Arizona prospect Garrett Rand and his own brother, 2017 star Kayden Lyles. We've got a video interview with the older Lyles that should be up on Rivals.com on Friday.
