Just got done watching the Livestream.
Couple observations from the game:
-First thing that popped was Kobe King. Steady, smooth, smart, versatile. Think his shot will be just fine. He hit some good shots and really sparked us in the 3rd quarter. Future 1st team All-B1G.
-Happ looked good for the most part. Did a great job bringing the ball up against pressure and it led to some easy drives 1 on 1. Needs to develop a short jump shot game, which is nothing new. FT shot looked much smoother (even though he did air ball one).
-AVV has a nice outside stroke. Needs to continue to develop his confidence and just play the game instead of thinking so much. Does ok down low but he's just not a physical guy.
-Trice is a great floor manager and an underrated shooter. Had a really nice game. I believe he led all scorers with 19. Looked decent getting into the paint as well.
-The comparisons to Gasser for Davison is a really good one. Only thing is Davison will be more of a PG. Not explosive but he uses his body and strength well on both sides of the floor. Already very vocal as a leader on the court. Gonna be a great guy to have in the program.
-Not worried about the score because of the added possessions due to the 24 second shot clock. Defense needs work but it's not worse than what you would expect at this point.
-This team can really shoot it. If they can be consistent they are going to compete very well.
