UW & all universities will be losing the huge benefit of providing a charitable contribution for 80% of the cost of premium seating starting in 2018. This will put a huge strain on this very large revenue stream going forward. Planning tip - if you have a premium seat receiving the 80% charitable contribution, and want to renew for 2018 and be able to use the tax deduction in 2017, call the ticket office and prepay 2018 invoice on credit card to take deduction in 2017.
