What a win!!! So excited for this team. Here's some of the things I loved from the game.
1. Hill's left handed lay up in traffic from a guy who missed all his shots up until that point, at a time we absolutely had to convert
2. The difference between Happ and Koenig's demeanor after scoring as opposed to Reynolds and Abell.
3. The team effort on the glass.
4. Hayes defensive effort on Blueitt. Hayes didn't let another atrocious shooting night effect his efforts on Xavier's top scorer, who was for the most part neutralized.
5. Thomas' defense and rebounding during the critical stretch when Happ and Brown were sitting on 3 fouls...the game could have gotten away but he played like he belonged.
6. Koenig's form on his shot. not to sound like Dan Dakitch but you could really use his shot to coach great shooting mechanics
7. I love watching Schluntz' reaction to big plays on the bench
8. Vitto's confidence
9. I love how all the Badgers are schooled to stay square and not fall for pump fakes....really hard to score on these guys.
10. Showalter's ability to finish
11. How can you not love Gard gettting a little choked up talking about his Dad. What a huge win for a guy I'm liking more with each passing game.
