Going to run through this series this week-plus, which will get us right to official visit season.
Locke has been committed for over a year and he'll be Wisconsin's guy in this cycle. But Ryan Montgomery will be one of the "what ifs" for me in this cycle. That family really, really liked Wisconsin/Madison and I think the Badgers had a good chance to land him had they not secured a commitment from Locke early on, especially after Ohio State landed its QB early on. Not saying Montgomery was going to be a layup - and Georgia may have eventually won out in the end - but the interest on their end was legit. I can also say that Michigan commit Carter Smith really wanted to hear more from the Badgers, but Locke was already in the mix.
Will Wisconsin go after two quarterbacks in 2026? I think that would be smart, but we'll see what happens.
