·Wisconsin won its home opener for the 24th consecutive season, a run that dates back to 1996. Only Florida (29 entering Saturday) owns a longer active streak among FBS teams.
·The Badgers won their first-ever meeting with Central Michigan and improved to 33-2 all-time vs. the current membership of the Mid-American Conference.
·Paul Chryst improved to 44-12 (.786) in his fifth season as UW’s head coach, including a 17-2 mark in regular-season non-conference games.
·Wisconsin is 55-15 (.786) since the start of the 2014 season. Only Alabama (68-6, .919), Clemson (66-7, .904), Ohio State (64-7, .901) and Oklahoma (55-13, .809) have more wins among FBS teams in that span.

·Junior RB Jonathan Taylor finished with 102 yards and 3 touchdowns on 19 carries, while adding 3 catches for 17 yards and a receiving touchdown.
oTaylor scored the 32nd and 33rd rushing touchdowns of his career in the first quarter, adding the 34th in the third quarter. He scored the 3rd touchdown reception of his career — all this season — on a 17-yard pass from Jack Coan in the second quarter.
oTaylor is the first FBS player since 2000 to start the season with 4+ total TDs in consecutive games. The last Big Ten player to have 4+ total TDs in consecutive games was Wisconsin’s Montee Ball (vs. Penn State on Nov. 26, 2011 and vs. Michigan State on Dec. 3, 2011).
oDating back to 2000, Taylor’s 8 total touchdowns are the 2nd-most by any FBS player through his first 2 games of a season (Arizona State’s Kalen Ballage had 9 in 2016).

oCoan’s 363 yards are the 5th-highest single-game total in school history and the most by a Badgers QB since Tyler Donovan threw for 392 yards vs. Illinois on Oct. 6, 2007.
oCoan became the 11th Badger to throw for 300 yards in a game, doing so for the 24th time in school history — and the first since Joel Stave threw for 322 yards in back-to-back weeks at Nebraska (Oct. 10) and vs. Purdue (Oct. 17) in 2015.
