I hijacked another thread about this but it’s pretty interesting.
His contract includes $37 million in injury guarantees that automatically triggers in March 2024. Denver does not want to honor that part. They asked Wilson to renegotiate and he said no. Apparently they threatened him with benching earlier but that didn’t work either so now they are benching him in an attempt to avoid that big payout.
