Player development

Reading about the Brewers' success got me thinking about the Badgers' talent development. The Brewers have invested a ton in player development, including a $60MM pitching lab that is super secret, and apparently uses cutting edge 3D motion capture analysis technology, with top notch coaching. They have success finding guys who are devalued by the market, acquiring who they can afford, making small tweaks, and getting them to improve.

UW football will have the new practice facility, and we know everyone raves about Brady Collins S&C program, but I wonder if there is more that UW could be doing in this area. Even with the improvements in recruiting, much like the Brewers, UW is never going to be able to afford the most talented roster. They have to find other ways to win. I could also see wealthy donors tiring of giving money to players in NIL just to see them bust, but might be excited about investing in technology that would give an edge versus other schools in player development.
