Kansas and Oklahoma would be two great additions IMO.
Academically neither are bad at all. Oklahoma is a huge football brand name, while Kansas is a huge basketball brand name.
Culturally they would be good fits with the B1G West, for sure Kansas.
Getting OU and KU gets you a even deeper control of two good sized markets... KU gives you the KC metro (KC, Lawrence & Topeka) and pull in the Wichita market. OU would add you OKC & Tulsa markets (Wichita is a good middle ground between the two).
Outside of Texas, you would've just gained the southern Plains market. Minnesota & Nebraska lock up the northern Plains market already.
Missouri would've made sense but of course they are the SEC now. Texas would be great but that dog won't hunt due to the Longhorn Network.
