With Alvarez unable/unwilling to move on the head basketball coach position, the program is in a fugue state relative to recruiting. This is bad.

***if Bo had simply retired in June, Barry would have been forced to open the search immediately (perhaps could have someone on board now or shortly including Gard)
The situation we are in now is the worst possible scenario. Would you commit to the Badgers if you were a rising senior?
On paper, with only one scholarship currently available in 2016, this didn't look like such a big deal. But with Pritchard and others coming available, we look to be hamstrung for this and possibly next recruiting cycle.
