College teams are finally catching onto three-star IMG Academy QB Parker Leise. Leise made the move in the offseason from Kansas’ Shawnee Mission East to Bradenton’s IMG varsity team making the most of the opportunities. His last game on the field taking on Orlando Prep, Leise set an IMG single-game record throwing for 405 yards off 19-of-26 passing with five touchdowns. Over the weekend, the Badgers had him on campus for the shutout win over Illinois State.

“This was my third visit to Wisconsin, the game day atmosphere was wild at Camp Randall Stadium,” Leise said. “The fans never sat down. They love their Badgers. I hope the stadium is reinforced when the student section starts jumpin’. You can literally feel the stadium rockin’.”

Coming from the Baltimore Ravens, Leise liked what he saw in the Badgers’ new offense under coordinator Bobby Engram.

“It is going to be fun watching coach Engram’s offense this fall,” Leise stated. “He brings a ton of experience and new offensive opportunities to the Badgers’ game. I felt like the offense was just tapping the potential in their playbook Saturday night.”

Leise has personal ties to the Badgers’ roster.

“It is always fun watching Graham Mertz back in action,” Leise said. “We got to talk after the game in the locker room. Graham and I both trained in Kansas City before I moved to IMG. He has been a great role model and mentor to me. Wisconsin is a special place.”
