
Wanted to let you know that I've reached out to a few sources about Kayden Lyles' rumored move to the defensive line. l have not heard back from any of them, but I'm thinking they would have responded with "that's not accurate" if the move had not been made.
The picture above is from an event about a week ago. If you like to read between the lines, Lyles is surrounded with three other defensive linemen - Pfaff, Sagapolu and Vopal. Could be coincidence, or it could be a picture of Lyles with his new position group.
Lyles' (potential - likely official) move to defense would make a lot of sense. Some schools were recruiting him to play on that side of the ball and I've always felt that was his best spot, though he's certainly drawn rave reviews for his work at center/guard this off-season. In order to get him on the field this year, defensive line makes a lot of sense, especially with the injuries to Rand and Loudermilk.
