I was reviewing ESPN's QB stats as I was curious how he was doing vis a vis his peers. Interesting tidbits:
-After Week 3, he's third nationally in Average Yards per Attempt at 11.2 yards. This is a huge improvement over last year where it seemed like each of his throws went for like 4 yards on average (This is hyperbole as I don't have the actual stats from last year in front of me, but I'm confident it was way worse
-His QB rating is 5th nationally at 190.9
-He ranks 17th nationally in completion % with 71% of his passes completed
I understand it's early and his stats won't look as good after this weekend, but it's very encouraging to see the way he's started the season. You love to see it.
