NCAA proposing changes including adding two early signing periods, one in June and one in December matching the JUCO transfer time. Another proposal is to add a 10th assistant coach.

I think these changes could help UW. Schools like OSU and Mich typically have a huge number of commits by June. If those kids all sign then the blue bloods may be full and not have enough room to chase the late bloomers who come on their senior year. If Harbaugh won't let a kid sign a LOI in June then the kid knows where his commitment stands and he can look elsewhere. You would want to combine this with opening up official visits. You could allow OVs in the summer, or even during junior year. That way schools can pay for kids to visit before they would commit in June.

As for the 10th spot, that could be a perfect situation to bring back Bostad without having to let anyone go. Rudy can stay at OC without having to focus on the O-Line.
