Just sitting here doing my bracket try to figure out where it all ends up. Is it just me or has the talking head SEC greatness in FB now spilled over into BB? I realize CBS is now B1G, but it seems like they are still sucking at the teat of the SEC. During the selection show today, several of the commentators had “concern” for Purdue playing High Point, a team that hasn’t played a Quad 1 game this year, and won the only Quad 2 game they played. They were 8-3 and 18-2 in Quad 3/4 games. Also, several picked UtahSt over UCLA, a team that is 2-4 and 8-3 in Quad 1 & 2 games, and 15-0 in Quad 3/4.
I’m anxious to see how these games play out when B1G teams play SEC. I’m betting they will do a draw at best. It seems to me that the top 4 teams in the SEC are very good, and the rest are mediocre at best. They will probably get a team into the F4, but the majority of the 14 will be home next week this time.
I’m looking forward to Wisconsin taking out Alabama the second weekend.
