I'm curious what people in the den think about the situation at Baylor. They accepted a transfer from Boise State - he was kicked off the Bronco team after being accused of some sort of sexual assault. None of this was publicly reported. The kid enrolls at Baylor but wasn't allowed to play for unknown reasons. He sexually assaults a female soccer player at Baylor. Even after the assault is reported, the two are kept in the same class and study group. He was convicted yesterday of sexual assault and given a 6 month prison term.
Now when asked about it, Baylor coach Briles says he was never told that the kid was kicked off the team at Boise State for sexual assault, just that he was depressed and homesick. Chris Peterson, then the coach at Boise State, says that he did in fact tell Bryles everything.
Briles could be in some hot water here. If he knew the kid had a history of sexual assault, lawyers and the media are going to be like sharks in the water smelling blood. Should Briles be disciplined or even fired?
