Mertz was amazing and the defense was stout, but the running game was pretty concerning last night. The O-line struggled at times, but they always get better as the season goes on, so I think they should be fine. The FB and TE blocking should get better too.
My biggest concern is the RBs. Groshek looked pretty good, at least he has a little bit of elusiveness. He's a great complimentary back but not a lead guy. Watson and Guerrendo are very limited right now. I'm not sure how much they will be able to improve. I do not know if balance, cutting, and instincts can be developed. I feel like the recruiting issues are finally going to catch up, unless Berger is the next stud.
