-- It looks like the Badgers are at least thinking about moving Garret
Dooley back to linebacker. The previous coaching staff moved Dooley from
linebacker to defensive end last year as part of their effort to make their
defense faster, but Dooley was injured in camp and missed the season. But the
redshirt sophomore worked with the outside linebackers for the second practice
in a row, and that suggests to me that they're at least thinking about moving
him back to his original spot.

-- Keelon Brookins also might have a new home, as the
sophomore outside linebacker was working with Dave Aranda and the
other inside linebackers during Wednesday's practice. Brookins also played
safety for the Badgers during his true freshman season.

-- Got word from a UW official today that WR Connor Cummins is in the process of applying for a medical hardship waiver. He was a senior last year but spent the whole season in the training room. He's working out with the team right now, but it's not clear if his waiver will be granted for next season.

-- They're going a little easy on Dan Voltz in the early part of fall camp, apparently. Voltz didn't participate in some of the pass rush drills with the offensive linemen during practice today, and had George Panos working at center instead. I don't think it's anything to worry about- Voltz isn't that far removed from breaking his leg in the bowl game, after all.

-- They did work Natrell Jamerson with the other 1s at CB during a defense drill today. Not sure how much that means since it wasn't really a team drill or a skelly drill, but it's something to keep an eye on.

-- I thought Kafentzis and Hornibrook were a little more even today. I still think Hornibrook throws the better ball, but he does have a long delivery that can get him in trouble at times.
