Anyone else get the emails about the next 2 years of Badger Basketball ticket price increases? 65% of the tickets are going to increase...and not just a little...
They claim they aren't going to be reseating anyone like what happened with some of the people who got moved when they put in the priority seating closer to the floor but I'm skeptical of them doing something like that again.
I'm curious as to how this will affect attendance and season ticket holders in general? It's not quite the same watching the team turnover by 60% or more every year while getting paid handsomely. I think it's a fine line they're walking but I suppose they don't have much of a choice if they want to stay competitive? I miss watching players develop over 4 or 5 years here. I would ALWAYS stay for the senior day celebration be it before or after the game. It just isn't the same to me.
I took over my parents tickets a handful of years ago...have had them in the family for well over 40 years...28 years in the Kohl Center and before that at the Fieldhouse. I always thought I would NEVER get rid of them because they're great seats but now I'm feeling like this is just the start of some big money grabs in the coming years.
Anybody else have any thoughts on this?
