WI High School Football Realignment

What does anyone know about the realignment? I'm hearing some schools are not happy with the traveling they now have to do and size of schools they have to play against? Some teams will have to travel over 2 hours for some games and play against schools that are almost double the size? If true, it almost seems like this could discourage kids from playing football. Not to mention most rivalries and traditions could be finished.
