I saw on ad for the Rose Bowl and it made me wonder. The Rose Bowl is now either a quarterfinal or semifinal game every year. UW is so far away from making the playoffs right now. It will take years of building the program back. Then you need a season with an easy schedule to go 10-2 or 11-1 to get in. Then, even if you make the playoffs, you need to win a first round game to get to the quarterfinals, and you need the Rose Bowl to be the one of four playoff games you are assigned to (or win two and make the assigned semi-final). I'm not sure if the Rose Bowl gets to pick their game so they get a traditional Big Ten / Pac Ten matchup like this year with OSU and Oregon.
In any event, it seems like a LOT would all have to line up perfectly in 1 year to make a RB again.
