Being a member for many years on here and on here prior to becoming a member. The one thing I’ve noticed is a good chunk of members lack of belief Wisconsin can be a top 5 “Alabama, Ohio State” type team. I’ve always believed Wisconsin had the structure if it put all of its tools together.

Here is the structure I believe WI has that give them the tools to be in this group and I also think that’s why Fickell took the job.

-massive following, only big time college team in the state that is big football state (packers)
-Wisconsin has a lot of wealthy alumni and most love WI football. In an NIL world they should compete against most.
-world class academics. Top 40 school in the country. Can win on education over most of the big schools, some kids care.
- top 10 college football atmosphere. Game days are great and big time traditions like jump around.
-top party school in the country. Kids like to party, it’s a perk.
-top tier facilities for athletes that should compete against the big players.

What’s been Holding WI back-

-need less stringent academic process for athletes.
-lack of recruiting resources and coaching that didn’t go for world class skill players.

Am I right? What am I missing?
