MADISON, Wis. – The 2K Classic announced Thursday that the Wisconsin men’s basketball team will face Georgetown in a semifinal game of the tournament’s Championship Rounds, Nov. 20 and 22, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

With Duke taking on VCU in the other semifinal game of the Championship Rounds, the stage has been set for a possible rematch of the 2015 national championship game.

The Badgers and Hoyas will play out a rematch of their own after the two had a thriller last season at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas. Sam Dekker scored 17 points and UW put together a 22-6 run to rally in the second half for a 68-65 win over GU.

Duke, Georgetown, VCU and Wisconsin highlight one of the strongest fields ever for the 21st annual 2K Classic. The four programs combined for a 119-29 record this past season and have 104 NCAA tournament appearances, including 25 Final Fours, between them.

Wisconsin and VCU are making debuts in the 2K Classic, while Georgetown is set to make its first appearance since 1998 and Duke will make its third.

Wisconsin, Duke, Georgetown and VCU will each host a pair of regional round games on campus before playing in the Championship Rounds of the tournament at Madison Square Garden, Nov. 20 and 22.

Joining the four regional round hosts in the 2K Classic are Bryant, Prairie View, Radford and Siena. These four teams will play two regional round games in addition to playing at Bryant in a pair of subregional round doubleheaders on Nov. 20 and 21.

Tickets for Championship Round games of the 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project at Madison Square Garden are on sale and may be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 866-448-7849 or through Ticketmaster.com.
