TEAM NOTES

Today’s captains: redshirt senior LB Jake Chaney, senior SS Hunter Wohler, senior TERiley Nowakowski, senior WR Will Pauling.

UW improved to 4-2 on the season and 2-1in conference action. Wisconsin has also won4 of its last 5 Big Ten Conference games dating back to last season.

After defeating Purdue 52-6 last weekend,UW has scored its opponents 94-13 in its last two games.

The Badgers have posted 40+ outings in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2020 season.

The Badgers improved to 6-0 all time against Rutgers, outscoring the ScarletKnights 223-50.

UW has excelled in the Birthplace of College Football, improving to 3-0 at Rutgers, outscoring RU 131-10.

Wisconsin has scored touchdowns on three of its six opening drives this season while allowing only one touchdown on opponents opening drives.

Wisconsin had 549 yards of total offense, including 309 yards on the ground.

This marks the first instance UW has had 500+ yards in a Big Ten road game since a 42-7 win at Northwestern on Oct. 8, 2022.

This marks the first time UW has had 300+yards rushing since rushing for 314 yardsagainst Buffalo on Sept. 2, 2023.

UW scored 5 rushing TDs for the first time since its 38-17 win over Buffalo in 2023.

After a 14-point first quarter, Wisconsin has now outscored its opponents 52-14 in the opening frame.

Wisconsin’s defense allowed Rutgers just 271 yards.

Wisconsin had 24 first downs compared to Rutgers’ 13.

Wisconsin blocked a Rutgers’ field goal in the waning moments of the first half, UW’s first blocked field goal since Isaiah Loudermilk against Penn State in 2018.
