Someone sent me this recently and I thought it was interesting. Essegian basically having the best season out of everyone Wisconsin offered in that cycle. On the flip side, you could argue he's been the most opportunity from the group considering Wisconsin's struggles this season.

Badgers offered 12 players. Connor Essegian has been a big success. Amazingly 6 of the other 11 are redshirting at the colleges they signed with. Of the other 5, none are averaging above 2.5 per game.

Wisconsin gets Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska

Really nice in-state group this year. Currently have 11 prospects with a three-star rating or higher. In total, 24 currently hold Division 1 offers.

It's really fun to watch this staff and recruiting department work. This latest OL offer in Texas....We all joke about the 350 mile rule, but what this staff is doing is going out and identifying LOTS of prospects, creating a culture of excitement and "we're going places" and there is a ton of effort going into all this. Yes, they might land 3-4 guys that are difference makers from around the country, but they are TRYING and that will lead to results. This is how recruiting is done. You don't just go after the guys with Wisconsin connections and only the ones that have reached out and expressed interest in UW...you have to go out into the world and make things happen. This has been fun to see a staff operate like I think we should have been operating for the last 20+ years.
