As Badger fans we have seen more than our fair share of great RB's. But most of those guys have had NFL caliber offensive lines, At least 1 NFL caliber receiver, an NFL caliber TE, and many had an NFL caliber QBs. I realize the verdict is still out on Marz and Voltz, but for the most part Melvin Gordon had one of the best years ever for a college running back, and carried his Badger team to the Big Ten title game and a bowl victory with only one other NFL draftee. Compare that with John Clay, he had Tolzien, Abby, and Toon, Kendricks, Garret Graham, and 4 offensive linemen drafted in the NFL. Dayne had Gibson, McCintosh, Rabach, Tauscher along with Chris Chambers and Bollinger his senior year. Not a knock on Dayne or Clay....For as many accolades as Gordon has received, I still think what he did last year was vastly underrated.
