The current head football coach at the University of Wisconsin is Luke Fickell. He was hired in November 2022 and took over for Paul Chryst. Fickell previously coached at Cincinnati. He was the first coach in the history of a Group of 5 program to reach the four-team College Football Playoff. Fickell's contract was extended through the 2032 season
