What's up, guys!
I come bearing more quarterback news from the Mid-South region as Mississippi State transfer quarterback
Braedyn Locke is fresh off of an official visit to Wisconsin this past weekend, and I'm growing in confidence in the Badgers to land the former Rockwall (Texas) four-star product following his trip to Madison.
I would expect an announcement to come as soon as this week for Locke. As is the case with most transfers that recently took visits, the quicker this wraps up, the better for the Badgers.
For some context, Locke was a player Longo really wanted out of high school, but he chose Mississippi State over North Carolina. As soon as Locke hit the portal last week, Longo was one of the first to establish contact and an official visit was scheduled immediately.
Despite his shorter profile, Locke fits what Longo's system can provide in that he can sit in the pocket for the majority of the time, but can also work outside of it to push the ball downfield. Compared to the other quarterbacks committed, Evers and Mettauer have more of a dual-threat ability, but I see Locke as someone that could bring a Mordecai-type presence to the extended future of that quarterback room.
