Scholarship numbers for 2023

With all these guys we’ve got in this “awesome wave” of commitments the last few days I’ve seen so many posts trying to figure out where our scholarship number is at for next season. I’ve seen so many posts for example the QB room. What? Another QB? Is that gonna bother Mordecai or is Evers for sure coming?! With this coaching staff and at this big of a university , this is big boy football now. Time to put your chinstrap on and compete. There will be no complacency. There will be no position rooms at this program with this staff with a back up QB like Wolf or a true frosh Burkett. This staff is going to add to positions they see fit , make no promises, watch the boys compete and weed out the weak . We are a BIG program and god damn we have a staff finally acting like it. There will be players not on this team after spring from this previous regime. The numbers will work out. This is what a big time coach, with a big time staff at a big time university does. Buckle up!

Questions I've been pondering

Some hypothetical, and some you may think are dumb but I thought I'd post them to get some discussion going. participate if you want...
Would BA have hired Luke Fickell or would he have just rubber stamped Jimmy?
Was Jimmy's network big enough to land the type of coaching staff we see LF has landed?
Did LF negotiate this bigger budget or did CM already have this vision for the program?
Is there a new admissions standard and if there is, did PC have access to it?
Were all these resources available to PC and he just didn't want to use them?

NIL Questions

Now that Wisconsin seems to be getting more high profile recruits and transfers, I was hoping someone could explain how the NIL works in these instances. I understand that companies could partner with players, like Pepsi and Iron Joc have done with Mertz and Braelon, but do boosters contribute and pay these kids directly? Do they have contracts with these boosters or is it more of a gift?

Also curious what these deals typically look like. For example, what would a star player on Wisconsin be getting vs others? I saw Caleb Williams was driving a Range Rover so I am guessing the national stars are probably in the 7 figure area.

FOOTBALL Name I'm hearing a lot as a potential defensive line coach

Not official or concrete yet, but I've heard Greg Scruggs' name from a few different people. Previously coached with Fickell at Cincinnati but is now with the Jets.
