It SEEMS like things are a bit different in how we recruit (ya think?)...maybe a lot. I'd like to read your thoughts about what you think has changed. Here are a couple of thoughts I have:
It seems like the position coaches are specifically recruiting the kids at their positions. Or at least the kids are tagging in tweets the position coach more than in the past. This seems like a bit of a departure.
Obviously, they have a revamped recruiting department and are much more active in going after tons more guys. I'd like to know how they are sifting interest and prioritizing time spent with them and the coaches.
Much larger and more "out there" social media presence creating more buzz.
Is there a reason why the number of Wisconsin state players doesn’t match the data found by searching the Rivals player database? When I click the link to in-state rated recruits for 2023 it lists 5 prospects, which includes those still unsigned. But the database lists 28 rated WI prospects. For 2024 the state listing shows zero prospects vs 6 in the database.
