BB Recruiting: Dooney Johnson

I saw in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Class of 2027 Dooney Johnson (6-5 Milwaukee Juneau) was offered by Marquette last night. Rivals has him ranked at #31 in his class. Does anyone have any insight or knowledge if Greg Gard and company are interested. I have a friend who is big in Wisconsin High School hoops scene and he told me this morning he's not sure Wisconsin will even offer. I would think someone rated that high will get some NIL money.

USC game

After seeing Michigan dominate USC with 32 yards passing, knowing our strength is the air raid…defensive strength is the linebackers, especially the edges with the pass rush, this should be a blowout, right?
Have to believe Locke and Longo can get to 33 or 34 yards.

Just trying to get on the same page with all the kool aid drinkers and booger pickers 😜😜

The game this weekend will go a long way to show the direction

Let's all be real, given the schedule, who thought we'd win one of these two games (Alabaman and USC)? I think everyone on this board thought that we had a tough schedule and we would have a barely over 500 record at the end of the year.

That said, they will have had 2 weeks to prepare and USC is coming off a loss where Michigan ran it hard down their throats. USC has a great offense, always has players, and we'll see if Tressel can get the D ready to play. I suspect they'll score between 24 and 40 points. How does the team work with Locke's "strengths" and put the offense in a place they can be successful? Can they run the ball effectively, can they run up tempo, can they pass effectively, will the receivers get separation?

If they lay an egg, it's going to be hard to see much success for the rest of the season and potentially spell a new direction needs to happen from the O OR D side of the ball. I was all in on Longo, but things just don't work like they should with him. The offense has sputtered a lot in his 18 months in the program. Hard to see if they can't move the ball he survives the week?

I'm potentially optimistic, but realistically, I'm just hoping for a competitive game.

In retrospect- the Fickell hire

Watching all of the LBs from UW succeed in the NFL is awesome to see. Also the O-Linemen and RBs such as Jonathan Taylor.
The Last couple of years under Chryst werent good and I still think we needed a change.
By going with Fickell instead of Leonard, did we lose any of our LB OL and RB Prowess?
Fickell seems to be bringing in more high level recruits overall.
Im not impressed with the new offense. Air Raid my ass. Would we have been better off Keeping a Pro style offense (Like Bama) but trying to add more Skill position guys with Fickells recruiting ?
Did losing Leonard kill our ability to play top tier defense and attract LBs?

So I guess this is more of a conversation and questions overall.
