By all accounts Evers looks "better" "more confident/comfortable" than last year, but what does actually that mean?

He's getting reps, with the 2's but is he actually competing with TVD & Kirk Cousins Lite (Locke)?

Its just hard to figure out what is skill/talent vs. politics. Locke "competing" likely sits a lot better with Little Locke (Class of '25) than if he was getting the Evers treatment.
People in one breath say Evers is the most physically talented QB on the team, yet he doesn't seem to be competing for real snaps & all anyone hears is that he's looking better.

Is there an actual gap between the top 2 and Evers that can be seen on the field?

Big picture is the hope/plan that WI can remain competitive until Mabrey can fill the position long term?

As close as Purdue was to winning a national championship this year, in my opinion, they weren't all that close. UConn dimissed Purdue, Illinios, and Northwestern without much of a fuss. The B10 National Championship drought continues.

There are three areas, I think the Big Ten needs to take a long look at if they want to end the drought.

1. Scheme: By enlarge The Big Ten continues to play through monster bigs. No team has won a NCAA Championship with a monster big and playing through them posting up.
2. Roster Management: The Big Ten continues to prioritize skill and strength over athleticism and length. Because that fits the scheme and you need that size/skill to win games in the Big Ten.
3. Recruiting: In the NIL era we should be able to land the best of the best. Our TV financial resources are vastly superior to other basketball conferences. So why does the conference continue to lose recruits to Big East, Big 12, SEC, and ACC schools?

All of these things are interconnected. Scheme impacts roster make management, Scheme impacts Recruiting, Recruiting impacts scheme and roster management, etc. Are there other considerations?

My overall opinion is: If the Big Ten put more money and focus into basketball and a little less on football, we could be the most dominant college conference again.

While I'm most interested in Wisconsin. I think about this at the conference level. I'm interested in your thoughts.

Didn't realize he was the architect behind UCONN's offense. I'm not saying it would happen, but Bill Murray at Badger games could be fun if Luke was the Badgers coach one day.

There have been all these reports of all these transfers hitting the portal (with a few commitments). Is late cycle movement, such as the Cal move, mean the transfer market truly doesn’t get moving till after the basketball season ends? Just seems like there hasn’t been much out there the last few weeks.

Maybe a topic for general stadium talk? This is my first time starting a thread here.

I have a couple of questions, and admittedly I've not been since 2019 since we moved to FL.

Do they still have "The Road to the Rose Bowl Starts Here" painted in the player entrance?

Is it time to take the Rose Bowl appearances off the facade?

I ask these questions because that is no longer a goal (for UW or anyone else).

Absolutely nothing! I know that it's been discussed before, but in today's NIL world, a commitment basically is just saying that is their best option....right now. What do you think would've happened with Dekker in the NIL era? If "Joe Schmoe university" comes in and offers you a million to play for them, what would do? I'm not faulting the kids, I'm faulting the system/structure. How do you think Bo would have done in this culture?

This whole NIL culture is like a bad free agency agreement in the NFL. At least in the NFL, you're tethered to a team for the length of your contract, but in the NCAA you could leave after a day. How can they remedy this?
