How big of an impact can Schmidt have?

I'm not saying that he's the next Taylor, but if he can consistently pin teams inside the ten (with punts), touchbacks on kick offs and make 45-50 yard field goals, he will be one of the top commits this cycle! How many games have we lost due to poor kicking in the last 15 years? We have shanked 19 yard punts, kicked off out of bounds and missed 40 yard FG's far too often! I've always said that special teams aren't given enough credit. Punting, kicking and return game can completely change games!

FOOTBALL RECRUITING Wisconsin thinks 2025 ATH Brody Lennon can make 'a major impact' with Badgers

Looks like Wisconsin is willing to take Davis and Lennon at tight end. Lennon must have graded out much higher than Jayden Savoury and Remain Zebert, both of whom were dropped this weekend. I'd take Lennon as a potential OLB as well. He's got some intriguing film.

FOOTBALL RECRUITING Time with players stands out to Jayden Woods during official to Wisconsin

Tough to get a great read on Woods right how. I definitely expect him to take his remaining officials.

Penn State has at least two other outside linebackers committed in this class, and they are considered the front runner for Jayden Loftin. He is coming off an official to Wisconsin and will be in Happy Valley on June 21. I don't see Woods picking Purdue over UW. Tennessee is a wild card if he wants to play in the SEC.

What is it gonna take for TVD

The question I hear all the time about Tyler Van Dyke is can he play like his redshirt freshman season. I think the answer is pretty easy.

It depends…

It depends on if his offensive line and especially the center can get the ball back to him without him having to think about it, or jumping offsides and getting behind the chains.

It depends on if his receivers have confidence in running their routes and catching the ball this year. And I think this point is huge. There were a couple of drops last year that killed the drive and confidence of the offense.

It depends on running backs staying healthy and making the catch out of the backfield for positive yards. When we run the ball, can we get 5 yards on first down and stay in front of the chains. Can the Tight Ends do their job?

I feel like if the rest of the team is ready to go to the next level then Tyle Van Dyke will too.
