This is the most California way to go about approving the move. UCLA can join the B1G, but must pay UC Berkeley due to the harm caused to UC with the move to the tune of $2-$10 million a year.

UCLA's move to the Big Ten was approved by the UC Board of Regents by an 11-5 vote Wednesday, but as part of the decision, the Bruins might have to provide a subsidy to UC Berkeley.
