FOOTBALL Wisconsin has found its tight ends coach

Got a tip that Guidugli was in Madison this weekend. Was just told that he'll be the new tight ends coach.

In a matter of weeks

The entire feeling behind this program has changed. We have gone from a stagnant program to one that is attracting attention for all of the right reasons. We’ve gone from a program who struggled to recruit elite athletes to a program that can win any recruiting battle. We’ve gone from a program who played 4 yards and a cloud of dust to embracing modern football. We’ve gone from a program that was a step behind in recruiting and NIL to one that is now out in front of it all. The short term future is more exciting than it’s been since I enrolled in 1996. Enjoy every minute of it. The offseason is as exciting as the games.

Basketball Opponents Season results to date

Review of how all of our opponents are doing.

South Dakota we beat 85-59 5-7 (biggest win for them vs BYU which doesn't mean anything).
Stanford 60-50 4-6 (no good wins)
UWGB 56-45 2-10 (no good wins)
Dayton 43-42 7-5 (no good wins)
Kansas 68-69 10-1 (Beat Duke, Indiana, NC State, Seton Hall)
USC 64-59 8-3 (no good wins)
Wake Forest 75-78 8-4 (no good wins)
Marquette 80-77 9-3 (Beat Baylor, Notre Dame, Creighton)
Maryland 64-59 8-3 (Beat Illinois, Miami)
Iowa 78-75 8-3 (Beat Iowa St. Clemson)
Lehigh 78-56 5-5 (no good wins)

We all know the game is about match-ups. Our style although we are scoring more points tends to yield a lot of closely contested games against good opponents.

Indiana just got crushed by Kansas (team we should have beat in regulation despite an off game by Chucky) and Arizona the last two games (today they had an injury at guard but still got spanked). Illinois beat Texas but loses by 15 to Penn St.

Going to be an interesting year for sure, not sure if there is a team head and heals above everyone else. Purdue needed OT to be beat Nebraska yet handled Gonzaga and beat Duke as well.

Hopefully the Badgers can clean up some of the turnovers, get more out of Crowl scoring in the post and some how figure out our defense in the paint because we have some mismatches coming up vs Michigan and Purdue (luckily we only play them once) and a few other teams with good post players this year.

That being said I think we have a lot of 3 point shooters off of the bench, and with Essegian getting more playing time it really comes down to Wahl staying out of foul trouble and regaining his shooting percentage in the post, Chucky not having the big shooting slump games that he had earlier this year, and Davis contributing consistently on both ends of the court. Then you have the X factors of Klesmit & Gilmore with hustle points and hitting the wide open threes.
